** This thread discusses the Content article: Gator Baseball Update April 9 **

The Gator baseball season is in full swing. The Gators are in the meat of their SEC schedule, and hope to play tough baseball to make the College World Series. Here is a list of links covering the past three weeks or so of the regular season...

The Gators finished off a home sweep of the Tennessee Volunteers 7-5. It was their first sweep of the Vols since 2003.

Lefty pitcher Alex Panteliodis won SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

After the Tennessee series, star pitcher Stephen Locke was reinstated following a previous DUI case being thrown out. Now the officer that pulled him over is being investigated.

UF and UNF split a two day home & home series. UNF won the first game 3-0 and the Gators took the second game 5-3.

Here is a good article about Wide Receiver Riley Cooper, where he's focusing strictly about baseball.

The Gators swept Alabama in a weekend series at home. They won the games 11-4, 9-8, and 10-7. It was the first sweep over the Tide since 1994. The Gators have been great at home, and home sweeps are becoming the norm.

The great weekend earned first baseman Preston Tucker Freshman of the Week honors.

A home game against Stetson was rained out.

James's cousin Jack Posey keyed a win for FSU over the Gators. And we all thought James and his family bled Orange and Blue... Another article here and here.

Before a road series against Vandy, the Gators were hoping to reverse their road woes. Unfortunately, the Gators lost 2 of 3 in Nashville. The scores were 8-4, 3-4, and 9-16.

We'll be back in a week or two to go over the next few series.
