Gator Football
Our friends at Gatortailgating.com have been posting there positional previews lately, and have been doing a really good job. Herer is what they've posted so far: Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Defensive Linemen, Linebackers, and Safeties.
Maurkice Pouncey was recently named to the watch list for the Remington Trophy, awarded to the best center in the nation.
Carlos Dunlap, Brandon Spikes, and Joe Haden were named to the watch list for the Bronco Nagurski award, given to the nation's best defensive player. It'll be a tough sell with Taylor Mays and Eric Berry out there. But let's cheer on our boys to take it home to Gainesville.
Gator Basketball
Billy Donovan discusses beefing up the schedule. I happy they're doing this. The last two season haven't gotten the Gators ready for the SEC conference games in the latter part of the season.
Pro Gators
Former Gator first baseman standout Matt LaPorta is now playing for the Cleveland Indians. Unfortunately he has to play on a terrible team. Let's hope he helps turn things around for them, as he has been knocking the lights out in AAA as of late.
Former Gator point guard Jason Williams was signed by the Orlando Magic. He'll be backing up starter Jameer Nelson.
Total Sports Domination
The Gator soccer team was picked by the SEC coaches to defend their conference title. Just another Gator team rocking the house.
Matt den Dekker is coming back and is really looking forward to the upcoming class. I think the Gators have a good shot to get back to the College World Series.
