I will be partaking of Tim Tebow's Tears.

For those who do not know the story (told it on our short-lived podcast a year or so ago):

In September 2008, I designed an IPA. I was waiting for the perfect time at which to brew this beer.

I was in McKinney, TX at a friends house watching the game, with plans to go to an Oktoberfest after. Then, the Ole Miss disaster happened. Oktoberfest was to be skipped, as I ha dno desire to walk around in my replica Collinsworth jersey and get into an altercation with a Big XII fan.

So I went home, and brewed the beer instead. Whilst Tebow shed tears.

The first game in which we began drinking this beer was the Kentucky game in 08. As you may know, this is when we started blowing people out.

I put it together that it was the beer, and began rationing it, making sure I had enough bottles left for the championship games.

This August, I used some hops left over from that previous batch, and made it again. The day I brewed it was just a Friday I had off- a day that I later found out was Tebow's birthday. Something is at work here, larger than myself.

I didn't drink any of the beer for the first 3 games. Kentucky was once again the proving ground.

Three of us opened Tim Tebow's Tears v 2.0 at kickoff of the Kentucky game. Immediately, we go up 31-0, and for rationing purposes, we stop partaking of this magical elixir. Tebow goes out with the concussion.

More evidence: last game, I was still finishing up a pre-game beverage. I realize I can only blame myself if something bad happens. I pop open a bottle. The ball is snapped... The Gators defense comes up with an interception. Yes, I am taking credit.

I started with 49 bottles (I think 48, but one is a 22 oz warlock... which I'm saving for the bowl game, whichever bowl we play in... to send Tebow out on the right note).

I used 3 vs. UK. 8 vs. LSU (wanted to leave nothing to chance). 5 vs. Arkansas (more than I planned, but necesary. and 4 vs. MSU. We have up to 7 games left (definitely 6, and at this point we probably could clinch the Eastern Division title as soon as this weekend, making 7). I have 29 bottles remaining.

James, if you're so pumped, I think it appropriate to chug a TTT v2.0 right before kickoff. If that happens, I'm pretty sure both Jesse and I will feel something special going on...
