Spikes lost his head, he's not a dirty player. Although, this was after they had a solid lead, so I'm not sure how he could still be 'getting caught up in emotion'. I thought he should get suspended for longer. This will just open up more anti-Gator sentiments that we put winning above all else.
It was cool the Georgia player didn't mind what happened, but he also didn't actually get poked in the eye. He may have reacted differently if he was still seeing blurry on Sunday morning.
What he did was wrong and bush league. I think he's paying for his mistake by taking himself out a game. This guy came back for his senior year, you think he doesn't want to be out on the field every single saturday. If the gougee can forgive him then I can too. And for people that just can't get over it go watch a sport like Rugby and what Spikes did pales in comparison.
