Great post, any news on Andre debose? I think they should develop a support group to help us addicts who never get enough of football season. Oh well, could be worse, we could all be fsu fans
I don't know how much Debose will be ready for spring practice, but he's supposed to be ready to go in the fall.
We also won't really know until we see him how much the hamstring is healed and if he's up to full speed.
I personally like to look at the way a receiver who has been in the program longer develops into a top player (louis murphy being the best recent example, we saw NOTHING from him early in his career)... so look at Hines or Hammond or someone with experience catching Brantley's balls (poor choice in phrase, I know) to turn into a top WR.
They began to throw to Chris Rainey a lot down the field, and are supposed to be using him more in the Percy Harvin mold this year which means a couple things:
1. Jeff Demps is going to THE guy in the backfield, at least as much as there can be one guy with 5-6 guys pushing for carries (Demps, Moody, Rainey, Gillislee, possibly Mack Brown and Debose)
2. Rainey ought to be even more involved in the passing game.
So to get back to the Debose question, we should have Thompson and Rainey ahead of Debose in terms of contribution next season... so can he get up to speed enough to be the 3rd threat in the passing game? I think so, but we should wait until we see him running around in full speed, game-like situations first.
