G1 twitter account that this doesn't mean he won't recommend a current/former assistant...
If Baby Pitino is really a hot-shot up and comer, I'd expect his name to be in a coaching search like this.
Flip side to all this:
Did Billy tire of the insane criticism he received (not from this site, mind you, but by unintelligent Gator fans) this year, and actually bail on this program he's building?
And yes, he's still 'building' this program, as the 4 Final Fours, back-to-back titles, etc. are nice, but this program won't be completely 'big time' until we selling out every game. Did we sell out any?
G1 and groupies represented 6 of about 50 Gator fans in OKC, compared to several hundred BYUers. We have a ways to go...
