Many people bring in headphones and/or iPods, depending on the rules at their work location. CDs, or mp3s on your work computer are another option.
To help any of you who may be quite bored at work (after all, isn't that the point of this entire site?), I decided to list some of the internet sites I stream audio from, in order to improve your quality of life.
Obviously, there's espnradio.com. The national shows I listen to are Mike and Mike and Colin Cowherd. Cowherd is easily the most prominent ESPN radio personality who talks about college football- he also participated in that ESPN 360 stuff they did, like for Florida/Auburn 06. I hope he doesn't do it during our game any more, but I like to hear him talk football- even if he said we'd lose to Kentucky this year.
No Florida fan should miss www.floridasportstalk.com You can stream the Gainesville/Ocala ESPN affiliate- in particular, I try not to miss Chris Doering from 4-6pm ET (though I go through periods when I am not at work that late).
www.radiomargaritaville.com should be on every Floridian's list as well. It's more than Jimmy Buffett, though how could that be bad? It just streams the Sirius channel, if you're familiar with that. Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, the Dead, Little Feat, and quite a few others are listed as 'featured artists'.
thestar.fm also contains streams local Gainesville shows, so you can satisfy your Gator fiending that way.
One of my favorite radio stations while I lived in Florida was Jacksonville's Rock 105. www.wfyv105.com will take you to the station's website, but http://www.streamaudio.com/stations/player/pages/newplayer/index_win.asp?Owner=&public=&headertext=Rock%20105&Station=WFYV_FM&Mac=No&OptIn=&Streamtype=&filename= will allow you to stream.
Lastly, I catch KDGE the edge here in DFW quite a bit. Though I have to say I don't stream them that often, I usually have some combination of sports talk, or some of the other music I don't get in the car. KDGE is also the &new& home of Lex and Terry, they've been out here almost as long as me, I always listened to them in Florida when I was awake that early (usually, High School). www.kdge.com gets you there.
I'd like to use this as an opportunity to get some feedbacks from others on the channels they listen to. I'm always up for finding other things, and trying to find complete songs on facebook (the iLike app) doesn't work out too well (though I can find many partial clips, but don't really understand why some fantastic songs are overlooked for some artists while others are featured).
